The Green Angels - 1965 posing with Terence O'Neill at hat is believed to be the Northern Counties Hotel, Portrush.

Back Row (L to R): George Dillon (rhythm guitar/vocals), Pat Savage (drums), Mickey Conway (clarinet/saxophone), Jimmy Halferty (RIP) (keyboards/trombone)

Front Row (L to R): Joey Rankin (bass guitar/vocals), Ivan Owens (lead guitar), Gerry McLean (RIP) (vocals/trumpet), Malachy Kearns (vocals/saxophone)

"I think the photo was taken by a local newspaper photographer at the Northern Counties Hotel, Portrush where the band was playing at a "formal". The man in the black suit in the centre of the picture is Terence O'Neill the then Prime Minister of Northern Ireland who was attending the function. I am not sure about the year but it is probably around 1965." © 2004 George Dillon
